NZ Harlequins kicked off, playing with the wind. After 3 mins NZ harlequins were awarded a penalty right out in front of the Counties posts, NZ Harlequins 1st five Cole Berridge kicks over for 3 pts. Counties strike back quickly spinning out the ball wide to their forwards and their number 7 crossed the try line. 5-3 to Counties.
10minutes into the half and prop Charlie Henare has a burst up the field after an intercept. Harlequins then worked the way up field and centre Jordan Hamer passed wide to Daniel Henderson who scored in the left hand corner. Try went unconverted, 8-5 to Harlequins.
Counties work their way back getting the ball wide for their winger number 14 to score in the right hand corner, Counties converting the try, leading 12-8 at the Half time break.
Both teams worked on each other for10 minutes into the 2nd half, in an even contest. Harlequins Blindside Flanker Sahn Povey intercepted a pass and used his leg drive to get the Harlequins team on the front foot, he was rewarded moments later with a try in the left hand corner, which went unconverted. Harlequins ahead 13-12.
Counties scoring another try to make it 20-13. Harlequins attacked for the last 5minutes but were unable to equalise.
